Fundraising Coordinator

As the Fundraising Coordinator you are a key member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lloydminster team helping to achieve our mission:  Our organization is committed to being leaders in our community for providing the highest quality, volunteer-based mentoring programs to our community’s young people. 


  • Manage a portfolio of fundraising events

  • Plan and execute events

  • Develop marketing strategies for events and initiatives

  • Create fundraising opportunities

  • Prepare and distribute personalized materials including reports, presentations, newsletter, thank you notes

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers

  • Manage social media

Job Requirements/Competencies

  • Drive: Must be a resourceful, motivated self starter that can meet and exceed fundraising goals and quotas Maintain and establish collaborative relationships with sponsors

  • Initiative: Proficient in time and general management skills while demonstrating the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of personalities

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral skills with a comfort with public speaking

  • Professionalism: Work in a fast paced environment with a willingness to work individually and as a team player. Complete administrative tasks and develop strategies to achieve organizational goals

  • Attitude: Upbeat, enthusiastic, creative, passionate and a positive thinker

  • Flexibility: Able to multi task in a changing work environment. Manage competing demands and unexpected events. Be willing to change approach to best fit the situation

  • Some evening, weekend work is required

  • Dependability: Follow instruction, take responsibility for own actions and keep commitments


  • Degree or Diploma in Business/Non Profit Management/Marketing/ Event Management

  • Previous experience in non profit/fundraising an asset

  • Strong computer skills and ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results

  • Social Media savvy

  • Clean criminal record check (vulnerable sector)

  • Valid Drivers licence with access to a vehicle

There are currently 38 kids on our wait list for a mentor.

We are looking for volutneers to help us make a difference in the life of a child by volunteering to become a:

  • Fundraising Volunteer

We are very fortunate to have such great support from the community and were able to provide a little bit of extra Christmas magic for the children in our agency this year.

Bottles for Kids
Are you doing some cleaning? Do you have a shed full of recycling? Donate your bottles or cans to us and we will count, sort and take them in to the bottle depot and receive the proceeds for our local agency to support children's programming.

Kevin's Computing/Lloyd Laser Cartridge Teams Up with Us. 

Kevin's computing is a great place to drop off your old ink cartridges. They are a member of THINKRECYCLE.COM, which is an organization that pays for used computers and ink cartridges. Kevin's Computing is using this profit to donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Please drop off any unwanted, old ink cartridges.  It all adds up - one cartridge at a time.
