Volunteer to Start Something
What if every child finished high school, went to college or university, got a job and gave back to our community? Wouldn't that be something?

Dear Friends,

If your family hasn't had a conversation around doing something meaningful for others this Holiday season, I hope you will consider it.  By starting a new Holiday tradition you can show your children ( rather than tell them) that theHolidays are not just about presents, but also about doing good and giving back.

Tell us about your Greatest Gift! We would love to hear how you or your family has chosen to give back to your community. It may even inspire others to do the same. While you['re at it, why not share with us your #Greatest Gift of the Holiday Season? What's your favourite holiday moment? What is your family's greatest Holiday tradition? We invite you to Tweet us pics, stories, and/or videos of your #Greatest Gift to @bbbsc, or on our Facebook page. It can be something simple, but let's make it about something other than "stuff".

Dr. Amber Enns at Active Life Chiropractic Clinic, Sears has partnered with us this Christmas to provide magic to the children we serve.  Community members can pick up a Christmas Angel at the clinic, Sears and purchase an unwrapped gift for the age, gender and interest of child on the angel. The gift is returned to the clinic and we will pick it up and give it to the children in our agency for Christmas.

Stop by and pick up an angel at #3 5114 46 Street beside Sprucewood Pharmacy, pick up a star at Sears from their Wish Tree and return it to the store.

Kevin's Computing/Lloyd Laser Cartridge Teams Up with Us.

Kevin's computing is a great place to drop off your old ink cartridges. They are a member of THINKRECYCLE.COM, which is an organization that pays for used computers and ink cartridges. Kevin's Computing is using this profit to donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Please drop off any unwanted, old ink cartridges.  It all adds up - one cartridge at a time.
